Refund Policy
Refunds will only be processed in case of failed transactions. If a payment transaction fails but the amount is debited from the investor’s bank account, the full amount will be refunded to the original bank account or payment mode within a few business days.
Once mutual fund units are successfully allotted, refunds are not permitted. Investors may redeem their units at the applicable Net Asset Value (NAV) as per the redemption process.
Types of Refund Scenarios
1. Failed Transactions (Money Debited, Investment Not Completed)
If your bank account is debited but the investment transaction fails due to a banking issue, payment gateway error, or technical fault, the debited amount will be refunded within a few business days. Refunds are always credited back to the same bank account or payment mode used for the original transaction.
2. Redemption (Selling Your Units)
Redemption refers to selling your mutual fund units. Redemption proceeds are paid directly by the Asset Management Company (AMC) to the investor’s registered bank account. The payout timeline depends on the fund type:
- Liquid Funds / Debt Funds: Generally credited within one business day (T+1)
- Equity Funds: Generally credited within three business days (T+3)
- International Funds: Generally credited within five business days (T+5)
3. Dividends
Dividends, if declared by the scheme, are usually paid within one business day from the ex-date. The payout is made directly by the AMC to the investor’s registered bank account.
4. Erroneous Deductions
In rare cases where an incorrect debit occurs and no units are allotted, the amount will be refunded after reconciliation, generally within three business days.
5. SIP Cancellation
The BSE platform requires Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) to be cancelled at least three days prior to the scheduled instalment date. If a SIP cancellation request is not processed within the stipulated timeline, the next instalment may still be debited from the investor’s bank account and processed. In such cases, a refund will not be possible.
